A tiny settlement in eastern Greenland
Ittoqqortoormiit is often described as one of the most remote settlements on Earth.
The settlement lies on Liverpool Land near the Kangertittivaq fjord, with sea ice, Arctic-climate tundra, and proximity to polar-bear, musk-ox, and seal habitats.
It is increasingly a destination for extreme-nature tourism and Arctic expeditions; there is a guest-house used by visitors, and tours often require helicopter or boat transfer due to its remoteness.
